What are 3 Hidden Leadership Strategies?

To make the best out of leadership there are a few  leadership strategies as you scroll.

    1. Communication outside mails

When a leader comes out and socializes with his team they feel assured and motivated. Communication is incumbent in modern era as Digitalization is coming into the picture where a pandemic has added fuel to fire. People are working off the beaten track at their homes with no work environment. At times people in big positions fail as they are unable to communicate well with their subordinates.

Leader should tell them that they can approach him and talk to him anytime. He/she should make them believe that he is there. When the Leader communicates with them vehemently, they feel important and add more zeal to their work.

In the digital era, most people work with emails but you should know that when it comes to appreciation or interaction, face time is a much better option as it would look more real. Eat with them, celebrate with them, and laugh with them. Building a healthy relationship with your subordinates will surely do well. It’s one of the leadership strategy.

They should also share their personal experiences with them be it success, failure or anecdotes. Then the subordinates will find a family in the company. It is healthy to inquire about their personal life sometimes as it builds a meaningful connection with them.

When you communicate with your team, they know whether or not you are passionately engaging in the work. How you speak about your company’s vision, mission, and goals. Leadership strategies should encourage and prove his employees that he is not there just for him but he is for them as well.

    Leader’s Tip:

Encourage a learning culture in which managers and staff members always strive for improvement, exchange knowledge, and value creativity.

    2. Make Transparency your tendency

Leaders need to be transparent with their subordinates. This makes them feel as an insider in the company and gain confidence. A leader should discuss his vision and goal with them. They should know that their leader is passionate for the company. Being a leader, you should have glitter in their eyes while speaking for the company.

You should give them a picture of the future of their company and show that all those dreams won’t become a reality without them. They should know where they are right now and where the company will take them in future.

Usually leaders tend to discuss the knowhow of the company with only a handful of favorite members. But this leaves the other employees to guess that stuff which can lead to conflicting ideas and goals. When all are working for a common purpose every step should be taken after all the voices have been heard.

There should be an environment where the teammates feel free to discuss their challenges and failures. The leader should support, guide and encourage them. If employees feel they can’t open up about their mistakes for the fear of being fired, they are more likely to conceal or deny problems, stop seeking professional ballooning and support from the team.

So, a leader should lay out different plans in front of them. When one way closes they should see light in another one.

    3. Recognition and Acknowledgment

Leaders should appreciate their team’s efforts. He should also celebrate their success. It will create a more comfortable and friendly environment. So use this leadership strategy.

Every coin has two sides and so have people as they reflect both good and bad qualities. They are bound to make mistakes. He should search the good qualities of individual members and guide them to make use of it in the assignment. He should highlight the strong parts instead of the weaknesses of his employees.

Even if his team fails in lieu of boiling with anger, he should highlight the ways in which the previous mistakes can be improved. . Remember when plan A fails, there are 25 more alphabets.

Leaders shouldn’t be the only voice perceived at the table. Team meetings that value member contribution and democratic engagement reflect that the knowledge and experience of members are treasured. When members feel they have some control over the direction and content of meetings, they are more likely to be invested in the purpose and results of those meetings.

    Leader’s Tip:

Being genuine to yourself, acting with integrity, and fostering a sense of trust among your team members are all ways to lead with authenticity.
